About 20 years ago, I moved from Chicago, Illinois, to Clarksville, Tennessee, to raise my young boys in the South. My father had also accepted a position as pastor of a local church here, making Clarksville a place where we could be close to family.For more than 20 years, I worked as a barber and cosmetologist. I loved meeting people and building relationships through that work, but when we began homeschooling, I wanted a career that would allow me to be more present for my boys and their education.
